A statement from the World Bank office indicated that the financing of this financial institution in Dakar comes from the International Development Association, one of the World Bank's specialized agencies. It will be used to “strengthen the resilience [of] food systems” and to help the country “adapt to climate change.” According to the World Bank, “the beneficiaries include farmers and herders, small producers and processors, as well as agricultural micro-entrepreneurs. Financial service providers, as well as public and private institutions, will also benefit from this program.”
