After a simultaneous issuance of an auction of assimilable treasury bills (BAT) lasting 91 days and comparable treasury bonds (OATs) of 3 years, the Togolese Public Treasury obtained the sum of 27.500 billion FCFA on the WAEMU financial market . It was Monday, January 22, 2024, in order to ensure the coverage of the financing needs of the country's state budget.

The issuer had auctioned an amount of 25 billion FCFA for the purposes of the operation and ended up with global bids of 35.348 billion FCFA, i.e. a coverage rate of the amount put out for auction of 141.39%. The amount of tenders accepted is 27.500 billion FCFA and that rejected at 7.848 billion FCFA, i.e. an absorption rate of 77.80%. The repayment of their capital will take place on the first working day following the due date set on January 23, 2027
