It was last Tuesday in Algiers that the Commission for the Organization and Supervision of Stock Exchange Operations (COSOB) and the Financial Intelligence Processing Unit (CTRF) met to examine the provisions of the new regulatory texts related to the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

During the meeting between the COSOB and the CTRF, the participants examined the provisions of the new law N 23-01 of 7 February 2023, concerning the prevention and fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism, said the same source. According to the President of COSOB, Youcef Bouzenada, “the meeting was an opportunity to exchange views and strengthen cooperation between the two bodies, especially in areas related to the activity of the securities market.”
