The Minister of Digital Transition and Digitalization announced last Friday that Côte d'Ivoire intends to make functional its 5,207 km of optical fiber already installed before December 31.

Côte d'Ivoire plans to rely on the National Agency for Universal Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technologies (ANSUT), and on telephone operators, startups and other private sector actors. The result envisaged in the end is to reach the 7,000 km of optical fiber deployed throughout the country, in order to facilitate easier access to high-speed internet
