La 3rd edition of the International Cotton and Textile Exhibition (SICOT) was launched on Friday, January 26, by the President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE.

The day focused on the theme “local cotton processing: what industrialization models for Africa under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)?” ”. According to the Head of State, the entry into force of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Agreement constitutes a major asset for industrialization and investment for all African states. For the latter, “this 3rd edition of the SICOT offers participants a great opportunity to discuss the best way to exploit the AfCFTA agreement to improve the competitiveness of all links in the cotton value chain in order to ensure inclusive, sustained and job-creating economic growth
