Le Projet de mobilité et de développement urbain des villes secondaires (PMDUS) est une initiative financée par la World Bank. It aims to improve urban mobility, access to basic services and economic opportunities, and to strengthen institutional capacities for urban management in selected secondary cities in Burkina Faso such as Bobo-Dioulasso, Kaya and Ouahigouya. It is intended to provide a consistent response to the challenges of urban movement of populations and goods, in a vision of sustainable urban development. Its implementation will impact several sectors including transport, infrastructure, environment and education. The project will reach a op combined population of the three cities estimated at 1,430,000 people
