The minister responsible for the coordination of health and social protection, Muhammad Pate, said at a press conference held on Thursday, February 29 in Abuja, that Nigeria has obtained 240 million dollars from a Brazilian pharmaceutical company for production national generic drugs.

At the 37th meeting of the Stop TB Partnership in early February, Muhammad Pate unveiled talks with FPG Brands, an investment firm based in Brazil. She pledged to inject $240 million into the health sector in Nigeria over the next two years. Also, the minister revealed that at least three pharmaceutical companies had expressed interest in investing in the country.
