Last Thursday, the Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany and Ousmane Diagana, Vice President of the World Bank for West and Central Africa visited the industrial zone of Glo-Djigbé Zè.

Romuald Wadagni, Minister of State for Finance and Finance, L& économie Eacute; Tondji Béhéon, Director General of SIPI-Bénin and Urbain Amegbédji, Director General of the National Employment Agency (ANPE) welcomed Svenja Schulze and Ousmane Diagana to the GDIZ. During their first visit, which took place in the model room, they immersed themselves in the project, the level of implementation and the prospects. The delegation then visited several locations in this economic zone where several production and processing units are already operational.

Visitors got a first-hand look at the uniforms and T-shirts made by more than 1,000 young people training in textile trades. The delegation also visited the integrated cotton unit, one of the most modern and largest in the world, capable of processing nearly 20,000 tons of cotton produced in Benin.
