In order to discuss regulations pertaining to palm oil production and trade in Nigeria, a meeting was held from 12 to 14 March 2024. Discussions took place between experts and industrialists from member states of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) that produce palm oil and those from the Department in charge of Economic Affairs and Agriculture of the ECOWAS Commission

The meeting, which ended on Thursday, is part of the meeting's objective to provide measurable metric thresholds based on palm oil production capacity.
