Citibank, JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs Group and Standard Chartered Bank are the banks hired by Nigeria to advise on its first Eurobond issue since 2022. The operation comes in a context of renewed market interest in the debt of African states. Since the beginning of the current year, Côte d'Ivoire, Benin and Kenya have issued Eurobonds that have been widely subscribed. When it last issued Eurobonds in March 2022, Nigeria raised $1.25 billion. African countries, which were excluded from the international debt market for two years due to rising interest rates, have started issuing eurobonds again since January last
