The Cameroonian subsidiary of Groupe BPCE had suffered serious internal fraud between 2003 and 2016. Nearly 80 million euros had been embezzled, half of which was in cash. The bank tried to blame a director who was fired for serious misconduct after 34 years of loyal service. The Paris Court of Appeal ordered the bank to pay him 400,000 euros
