The Guinean Federation and associations of healers and herbalists in Guinea accuse the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene of embezzling several amounts intended to finance their projects.

Officials of the Guinean Federation and associations of healers and herbalists of Guinea denounce the refusal of the department headed by Oumar Diouhé Bah to apply a memorandum of understanding signed, since 2011, between their structure and the Ministry of Health. According to the spokesperson for the Federation of Traditional Practitioners on the sidelines of a conference on Monday in Conakry, “there was a memorandum of understanding signed between the Ministry of Health and the Guinean Federation of Traditional Practitioners as part of the establishment of our activities. But since then, the federation has not received any activities in accordance with this memorandum of understanding. If we set up projects, some crooked officials in the Ministry of Health block the projects and we don't get funding. Even if the funding comes from the government or partners, the ministry does not give us our rights.”

“The embezzlement attempts that we denounce, the various projects that we file, which must be accompanied by the government or by the partners, the Ministry of Health will see these partners to take money on behalf of another federation, it organizes a small workshop without the federation Ration does not know it, to present other traditional doctors who are not representative in the field and who are not even approved,” he denounced
