^{Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) has awarded Petra Energy Bhd the End-of-Life Asset Production Sharing Agreement (LLA PSC) for the Banang field, off the Malaysian peninsula since June 1.}

Petra announced on Wednesday that it had bagged the contract via the subsidiary Petra Energy Development Sdn Bhd (PEDSB). The Banang field is located about 70 km from Kuala Terengganu. According to Petra's Executive Director and Group CEO, Datuk Anthony Bujang, the company thanked Petronas for the contract and the continued confidence in its capabilities. “This award is a testament to Petra's experience and its unwavering commitment to moving up the value chain as an operator.
