The Moroccan startup YoLa Fresh, which uses advanced technologies to track the transport of fresh produce from the farm to retailers, has successfully raised $7 million.

The fundraiser was led by Al Mada Ventures and involved Algebra Ventures, E3 Capital, Janngo Capital and the Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank, FMO. The goals of the startup YoLa Fresh is to modernize the fresh food supply chain in Africa by directly connecting farmers to distribution and catering businesses. According to Youssef Mamou, co-CEO of YoLa Fresh, “in less than a year, we have achieved impressive traction and demonstrated a strong product-market fit. This validates the effectiveness of our innovative business model, which this financing recognizes and supports.”
