At the end of the Brvm Combined General Meeting, the directors of the Brvm renewed their confidence in Dr. Parfait Kouassi to chair the Board of Directors for a term of three years. Certified company director, graduate in Business Management, Doctor of Pharmacy, graduate of the Institute of Biochemistry of Paris-Orsay (University of Paris XI), Dr. Kouassi was from 2009 to 2017, CEO of Gompci (Pharmaceutical Group of Côte d'Ivoire) and deputy managing director of Dpci (Pharmaceutical Distribution of Côte d'Ivoire) from 2009 to 2017. He was elected President of the Order of Pharmacists of Côte d'Ivoire in 2005, a responsibility that he holds for two terms of office until the end of 2012. In particular, he led the process of harmonizing pharmaceutical legislation in the UEMOA region and also participated, as a member of the WTO Committee of Experts, in the Gatt negotiations in 2008.
