A regional workshop of the World Customs Organization (WCO) opened on Monday, July 8, 2024 in Cotonou. The objective of the open work is to strengthen the capacities of customs officials in the West and Central African regions.

“Combating counterfeiting and piracy” is the theme chosen for the meetings scheduled to last 05 days. The Director General of Beninese Customs, Adidjatou Hassan ZANOUVI said that this is an opportunity for participants to learn about the theoretical concepts of the fight against infringements of intellectual property rights, risk analysis and new tools designed by the WCO.
