The director general of the Intergovernmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA), Edwin W. Harris Jr., was on an exchange visit with Togolese Prime Minister Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé at his office in Lomé. The latter reviewed the evaluation of the Togolese system for combating capital flight and illicit financial flows

Le Director General of the Intergovernmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa ( GIABA ) is staying in Lomé. He announced that he went to present and share with the Prime Minister the results of the mutual evaluation of the anti-money laundering system. This report outlines the country's strengths and weaknesses in the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing. According to the results, Togo is exposed to the risks of tax evasion, corruption and similar offenses, among others. He also encouraged the Prime Minister for the efforts made in this fight and to see how to improve the system
