At the end of discussions with the President of the National Commission against Corruption and Illicit Enrichment (CNLCEI), Nestor Mbou, on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, Gabon is invited to submit its evaluation report.

The president of the African Union Advisory Council Against Corruption (CCAUC), Seynabou Ndiaye Diakité was received in audience by the president of the National Commission for Combating Corruption and Illicit Enrichment (CNLCEI), Nestor Mbou. Complying with the legal norm in terms of monitoring treaty ratifications, the AU diplomat invited the country's authorities to submit their evaluation report on the prevention and fight against corruption. During the discussions, the President said that “the African Union Advisory Council Against Corruption is a mechanism for monitoring the Convention. It was good for us to remind Gabon, which has not yet submitted its evaluation report, that it was necessary to do so. According to the texts, any State that is a signatory to the convention must in fact submit an evaluation report one year after ratification.”
