During an operation carried out on the night of Saturday to Sunday, the Keur Ayip Customs Commercial Brigade seized “a large quantity” of prohibited drugs worth 170 million CFA francs.

Customs officials seized 196 jars of 1,000 tablets of “chlorpheniramine tablets”, 137 jars of 1,000 tablets of “chlorpheniramine Maliate IP” and 200 boxes each containing 10 packs of eight tablets of “Puregrey-100” according to a statement. The document also indicated that the mobile customs brigade in Matam (north) also discovered 27 kilos of Indian hemp packaged in 36 packs “carefully” stored in a trunk and a travel bag discovered after the search of a Toyota Hiace transport vehicle
