The Private Sector Tax Working Group has formulated proposals for the year 2024 that could be the subject of tax provisions. This group is set up by the Benin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Ccib

).

The private sector has a critical role to play in mobilizing domestic resources to finance socio-community development projects. A total of eight proposals have been formulated for this year 2024. These include the modification of the provisions of article 133 of the General Tax Code in order to reimburse Aib credit to companies if any; the establishment of a margin rate for construction companies; the exemption from VAT on local fruits grown, marketed and consumed in Benin, on drinks 100% local fruits and mineral waters 100% manufactured, marketed and consumed in Benin; the r & vision of the decree establishing the margin rate for pharmacy pharmacies and taking into account the variation in the margin rate of products sold in pharmacies; the tax treatment of rebates and other commercial advantages of pharmacies; the reduction of the Synthetic Business Tax (GST) rate; the reduction of the Synthetic Business Tax (GST) rate; fiscal provisions for the establishment of fiscal equity between local production and subsidized imports; and finally, the modification of the article 168 relating to Motor Vehicle Tax (Tvm)
