On Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the end of the trading session, the capitalization of the bond market of the Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM) recorded a sharp increase of 155.57 billion FCFA.

The capitalization of the bond market increased from 10 463.851 billion FCFA the day before to 10 619.421 billion on Thursday, October 3, 2024. At the origin of this increase, there was the first listing on the BRVM of bond bonds entitled “TPCI 5.90% 2024-2029" and “TPCI 6.00% 2024-2031" for a total amount of 179.072 billion. The State of Côte d'Ivoire had offered, through a public exchange offer (OPE), to the holders of 18 of its listed securities to exchange the inflows of capital and interest, scheduled for June and August 2024, for securities resulting from two new bond loans called TPCI 5.90% 2024-2029 and TPCI 6.00% 2024-2031. The transaction was based on three mechanisms such as the exchange of bonds, cash subscriptions and debt conversions, thus making it possible to raise funds. The outcome of the said transaction made it possible to register the subscription on the regional financial market 10,162,942 TPCI bonds 5.90% 2024-2029 and 7,744,260 TPCI 6.00% 2024-2031 bonds for an amount of 179.072 billion

For its part, the market capitalization of the equity market is up by 47.01 billion, standing at 9,598.514 billion FCFA against 9,551.504 billion FCFA the day before.

The value of the transactions amounted to 3.179 billion FCFA compared to 6.330 billion FCFA on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

The indices are in green on their side. The composite index rose by 0.49% to 264.43 against 263.14 points the day before. As for the BRVM 30 index, it increased by 0.29% to 131.84 points against 131.46 points previously. For its part, the BRVM Prestige index recorded the largest increase, or 1.05% to 111.84 points against 110.68 points
