The President of Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE will chair, this Monday, October 7, 2024, the official ceremony to launch the activities of the Postal Bank of Burkina Faso (BPBF).

With a capital of fifteen billion (15,000,000,000) CFA francs, the BPBF, approved as a bank in April 2022, aims to offer financial services adapted to the needs of populations and to contribute to the strengthening of financial inclusion.

It is in line with the vision of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim TRAORÉ, to promote financial inclusion, a guarantee of shared prosperity. Faced with the growing need for project financing expressed by populations, especially young people, women and the middle class, the need to set up an adapted and more comprehensive financial instrument is needed.

The creation of this bank reinforces the government's desire to strengthen the conditions for greater resilience of the Burkinabe economy. Thus, the Banque Postale du Burkina Faso will be a reference financial institution, a leader in financial inclusion in Burkina Faso and West Africa.
