.Discussions focused on the third round of mutual evaluation of GIABA. Mr. Edwin W. Harris affirmed that Niger remains an active member of GIABA. The country has made progress in the fight against money laundering, although much remains to be done.
The CEO of GIABA also recalled that in the mutual evaluation report adopted in August 2021, Niger was placed under a strengthened monitoring regime due to certain shortcomings identified. To do this, Niger must now submit regular reports on the progress and progress made.
