The first listing on the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) of the bond issued by the ECOWAS Investment and Development Bank (BIDC) entitled “BIDC-EBID GSS 6.50% GSS 6.50% 2024-2031" in the amount of 70 billion CFA francs” will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2024, informed BRVM officials.

As part of its mission to support sustainable development, the BIDC issued this loan certified green, social and sustainable (GSS) by the ISS Corporate Solutions agency. The loan is part of a wider financing program, intended to support projects that have a positive impact on sustainable development.

The operation aimed on the one hand to finance the recovery plan in the UEMOA zone in a post-Covid-19 context and on the other hand to finance projects to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

The titles were broadcast to the public from July 15, 2024 to July 19, 2024. At the end of this operation, 7 million BIDC 6.50% 2024-2031 bonds were subscribed on the UEMOA regional financial market for a total amount of 70 billion CFA francs

.

The enjoyment date of these titles was set to July 29, 2024. The trading session for these two loans, admitted to the BRVM bond compartment, aims to promote the trading of securities on the regional financial market. This listing will also make it possible to significantly increase the market capitalization of the BRVM bond market. At the end of the trading session on Monday, October 14, 2024, this capitalization stood at 10 570.788 billion FCFA against 10 574.163 billion FCFA the day before, i.e. a decrease of 3.375 billion FCFA
