In November 2024, Right Performance is organizing two major training seminars in Douala on the fight against money laundering and corruption.

The first seminar, which will take place from 26 to 28 November 2024, will focus on the theme “Combating Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing: Setting up and evaluating your preventive system”. This seminar concerns banks, insurance companies, microfinances, money transfer companies, mobile money operators, public administrations, law firms and accountants. The objective is to support institutions in their effort to comply with regulations, while protecting their reputation and that of the sub-region. It will offer practical tools to set up an effective system to combat money laundering and terrorist financing. Participants will learn how to identify suspicious financial flows, establish strong preventive systems, and assess the effectiveness of their arrangements in accordance with international and regional standards

The second one, scheduled for November 27 to 29, 2024, will focus on the theme of “Combating corruption: how to set up a compliance program”. The participants will be public administrations, private companies, audit and control services, legal and financial managers. This seminar offers proven strategies for developing and implementing an anti-corruption compliance program in order to deal with the multiplication of corruption cases. These courses will enable participants to understand and meet legal and regulatory requirements related to money laundering and terrorist financing; acquire practical skills to detect and prevent money laundering and corruption; protect their institutions from financial sanctions and reputational losses; and promote a culture of integrity and transparency within their organization. This module is designed to strengthen the skills of managers responsible for preventing, detecting, and managing corruption incidents.
