The annual report on the management of the FNRH published by the Mauritanian Public Treasury mentioned that the balance of the National Hydrocarbon Revenue Fund (FNRH) reached a credit balance of 192,376,724.18 USD.

The report took into account the receipts and disbursements made during the year 2023, reported by the BCM statement of the account as of 31/12/2023. According to the information, cash receipts amounted to USD 21,305,606.56, a decrease of 41.% compared to the year 2022. As for interest rates, they increased sharply, resulting in income from asset investments of around USD 7,584,921.13, an increase of 343% compared to the year 2022. The report indicates that the above receipts correspond to royalties, taxes and fees paid by oil companies, support for the training and promotion of the hydrocarbon sector, as well as interest received on the investments of the Fund's assets
