The former Director General of SENELEC, Samuel SARR, was arrested Friday evening at the Blaise DIAGNE International Airport (AIBD) in Diass by the airport police.

His arrest is part of an investigation into an alleged embezzlement of 8 billion CFA francs, affecting the West African Society, of which he also holds the position of CEO.

This allegation would be linked to his role in the Cap des Biches power plant project, a case at the heart of intense controversies.
