After the adoption by Parliament of the new law on the modernization of capital markets in Mauritania, the Central Bank of Mauritania (BCM) is taking another important step forward.

The Central Bank of Mauritania has established a partnership with the London Stock Exchange in this framework, which also aims to promote the access of Mauritanian companies to investments and financing from the London Stock Exchange, among others. The signing of the agreement comes two weeks after the adoption by Parliament of the new law on the modernization of capital markets in Mauritania. “A significant advance for Mauritania,” said BCM Governor Mohamed Lemine Dhehby during the signing ceremony, “by taking advantage of international capital markets, we aim to encourage economic diversification, support sustainable projects, and integrate our country more deeply into the global financial landscape.
