Nestlé Côte d'Ivoire is making up for last year's losses. Boosted by rising local sales and exports, the multinational is back to growth, despite a tense economic situation and

costs that are still under pressure.

Nestlé Côte d'Ivoire, a subsidiary of the Swiss group Nestlé, announced an increase of 52.3% in its net income for the first half of 2024, which climbed to 12.36 billion FCFA (approximately 20 million dollars) against 8.11 billion FCFA a year earlier. This result marks a clear rebound for the company, which recorded a 20.6% drop in net profit in 2023, impacted by pressures on local sales and exports

.

Operating profit increased by 37.1% to 20.91 billion FCFA due to effective cost management. Net profit increased significantly, up 52.3% year-on-year to 12.36 billion CFA francs, reflecting improved operational efficiency and sales growth

.

The result of ordinary activities reached 18.12 billion CFA francs, an increase of 43.74% compared to the same period of the previous year. The company aims to maintain this growth trajectory in the second half of 2024 despite the anticipated challenges

.

Nestlé Côte d'Ivoire's performance highlights the impact of strategic export markets such as the Sahel region and Guinea. Cost control measures played a key role in increasing profits by 52.3%. However, rising costs and economic volatility in export regions could test its resilience in the second half of 2024. The company's future success could depend on maintaining efficient operations and exploiting export demand while navigating macroeconomic pressures
