The State of Mali collected on November 27, 2024 at the level of the financial market from the West African Monetary Union (UMOA) the sum of 33 billion FCFA (52,800 million dollars) at the end of its simultaneous issuance of an auction of assimilable treasury bills (BAT) with a maturity of 364 days and similar treasury bonds (52,800 million dollars) at the end of its simultaneous issuance of an auction of assimilable treasury bills (BAT) with a maturity of 364 days. The issuer, which had put an amount of 30 billion CFA francs up for auction, ended up with global bids of 40.204 billion FCFA. This corresponds to a coverage rate of 134.02% for the amount put up for auction.

The amount of bids selected by the Mali Public Treasury is 33 billion and that rejected at 7.204 billion. This gives an absorption rate of 82.08%

Investors whose submissions were successful will end up with a weighted average return of 9.45% for good ones ,8.91% for 3-year bonds and 7.92% for 5-year bonds.

The Malian authorities have committed to reimburse the vouchers issued on the first working day following the due date set on November 26, 2025. As for the payment of interest, it will be made in advance and deducted from the nominal value of these vouchers

For its part, the repayment of the principal of the bonds will take place on the first working day following the due date fixed on November 28, 2027 for those with a term of 3 years and on November 28, 2029 for those with a term of 5 years. Interest will be paid per year at the rate of 6.15% for 3-year bonds and 6.35% for 5-year bonds, starting at the end of the first

year.
