La 28 ^e conférence internationale sur l' investiseement s' est tenue à Riyadh from November 25 to 27. On the occasion, the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) received the Sustainability Excellence Award in recognition of its efforts to attract Haier Egypt Electronics, one of the most important investment projects

The award of excellence was presented to Hossam Heiba, CEO of GAFI. The award was awarded to FATF after competing with 84 distinguished investment projects from 40 countries. The Haier Industrial Complex was one of the first projects to receive the Golden License, which combines all the permits required to create and operate facilities into a single approval. In fact, this environmentally friendly industrial complex extends over 200,000 square meters and required an initial investment of 135 million dollars to produce household appliances such as air conditioners, washing machines and televisions for the local market and for export. The first phase started production this year, with an additional $40 million allocated to the second phase, and covers 50,000 square meters for the production of refrigerators and freezers

It should be noted that the award given to GAFI highlights the group's role in creating an investment environment that supports sustainable development by adopting advanced environmental, economic, and industrial practices in line with Egypt's Vision 2030, which aims to balance strong economic growth with protection resources and efficient use.
