Les prix du cuivre in London hit their highest level in nearly a month on Wednesday. Markets are supported by the recent announcement by the largest consumer country, China, that it would ease monetary policy and adopt a proactive fiscal policy to boost growth next year

The most traded copper contract in January on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) rose by 0.4% to 75,690 yuan ($10,443.31) per ton. The three-month copper price on the London Metal Exchange (LME) was up 0.8% at $9,290 per ton at 03:53 GMT. The contract briefly hit $9,314 per ton, the highest level since November 12.

SHFE aluminum increased by 0.3% to 20,435 yuan per ton, nickel fell by 1.3% to 125,450 yuan, tin added 0.3% to 248,770 yuan, while zinc increased by 0.9% to 248,770 yuan, while zinc rose by 0.9% to 26,055 yuan per ton, and lead fell by 0.2% to 17,680 yuan.

LME aluminum rose 0.4% to $2,620 per ton, nickel gained 0.1% to $15,735, zinc rose 0.9% to $3,162.5, lead fell 0.1% to $3162.5, lead fell 0.1% to $2,062.5, and tin gained 0.4% to $29,885.
