The President of the National Financial Intelligence Authority, Jawhar Nfissi met the Moroccan head of government Aziz Akhannouch on Thursday, December 12, 2024. On the occasion, the latter presented the Authority's annual report for the year 2023, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 05-43 on the fight against money laundering, as amended and supplemented

The President of the National Financial Intelligence Authority took stock of the initiatives taken to upgrade and strengthen the national system to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism. The report notes the increasing evolution of the indications of ANRF activities during 2023. This includes not only reports of suspicion submitted , but also requests for information made nationally and internationally, and transmissions to the appropriate judicial authorities. Internationally, the report highlights cooperative efforts with specialized international and regional organizations and bodies. They intend to affirm Morocco's position and its respect for its international commitments in the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

Also, the President highlighted the initiatives taken to upgrade and strengthen the national system to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism, in terms of coordination between the various parties concerned, including judicial authorities, law enforcement authorities, supervisory authorities and authorities of surveillance.
