The regional financial center recorded a market capitalization of 10,059 billion CFA francs, or more than 16 billion US dollars. This unprecedented milestone illustrates the exceptional dynamism of the financial center common to the countries of the UEMOA in recent years
.This capitalization, which ended the year 2023 with 7,966.96 billion FCFA, was in fact 10,058.833 billion FCFA. This, against 9,917.140 billion FCFA on Thursday 12 December 2024, i.e. an increase of 142.693 billion FCFA. This capitalization, which is close to that of the bond market (which stood at 10,355.975 billion against 10,355.975 billion FCFA the day before) shows the dynamism of the BRVM equity market, which did not steal its fifth place on the African continent's stock exchange. As for the total value of transactions, it stood at 805.398 million FCFA against 1.347 billion FCFA
the day before.The trend is general, the indices are all improving. The BRVM Composite index thus recorded an increase of 0.46% to 275.48 points against 274.23 points the day before. For its part, the BRVM 30 index rose by 0.59% to 138.14 points against 137.33 points previously. The biggest increase was achieved by the BRVM Prestige index with +0.91% to 112.10 points against 111.09 points
the day before.The Top 5 of the largest price increases is thus occupied respectively by BOA Senegal (plus 6.09% to 3,395 FCFA), Onatel Burkina Faso (plus 2.45% to 2,300 FCFA), Total Senegal (plus 2.17% to 2,350 FCFA), SOGB Côte d'Ivoire (plus 1.96% to 4,690 FCFA) and Société Générale Côte d'Ivoire (plus 1.55% at 19,600 FCFA).
The Flop 5 of the largest price drops is occupied by Sicable Côte d'Ivoire (minus 6.85% to 1,020 FCFA), Solibra Côte d'Ivoire (minus 6.47% to 13,000 FCFA), Boa Niger (minus 4.91% to 2,520 FCFA), Coris Bank International Burkina Faso (minus 2.71% to 9,705 FCFA), Solibra Côte d'Ivoire (minus 6.47% to 13,000 FCFA), Solibra Côte d'Ivoire (minus 6.47% to 13,000 FCFA), Boa Niger (minus 4.91% to 2,520 FCFA), Coris Bank International Burkina Faso (minus 2.71% to 9,705 FCFA) FCFA) and Vivo Energy Côte d'Ivoire (minus 2.30% at 850 FCFA).
