The State of Senegal, through its Public Treasury, collected this Friday, December 13, 2024 at the level of the financial market of the West African Monetary Union (UMOA) an amount of 38.237 billion FCFA (61.180 million dollars) at the end of its issuance of a targeted auction of assimilable treasury bills (BAT) of Maturity 364 days and comparable 3- and 5-year treasury bonds

The treasury had put 35 billion CFA francs up for auction. At the end of the operation, UMOA-Titres identified global tenders of 58.692 billion FCFA. This corresponds to a coverage rate of 167.69% for the amount put up for auction.

The amount of tenders accepted was 38.237 billion FCFA and that rejected was 20.455 billion FCFA. It should be noted that the issuer did not accept the tenders from the treasury bills. This gives an absorption rate of 65.15%

Investors whose submissions were selected will end up with a weighted average return of 7.82% for 3-year bonds and 7.83% for 5-year bonds.

The Public Treasury undertakes to repay the bonds on the first working day following the due date set at December 16, 2027 for 3-year bonds and December 16, 20229 for 5-year bonds. He will make interest payments annually at the rate of 6.30% for bonds with a term of 3 years and 6.45% for those of 5 years, starting at the end of the first

year.
