The trading session on Friday, December 20, 2024 ended with a sharp increase of 112.501 billion FCFA in the market capitalization of the bond market of the bonds of the Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM).

This capitalization has in fact increased from 10 329.507 billion FCFA the day before to 10 442.008 billion FCFA this Friday, December 20, 2024. At the origin of this increase, there is the first listing of bonds issued by the State of Burkina Faso called TPBF 6.50% 2024-2029 and TPBF 6.80% 2024-2032 for an amount of 103.995 billion FCFA. In order to mobilize resources in order to finance investments included in the 2024 budget, the State of Burkina Faso, through its Public Treasury, issued these two bonds during the period from October 24, 2024 to November 25, 2024. At the end of this operation, 6,589,500 TPBF 6.50% 2024-2029 bonds and 3,810,000 TPBF 6.80% 2024-2032 bonds had been subscribed on the UEMOA financial market for an amount of 103,995,000,000 FCFA

Regarding the capitalization of the equity market, it recorded an increase of 1.355 billion FCFA, reaching 10,018.728 billion FCFA against 10,017.373 billion FCFA on Thursday, December 19, 2024.

As for the total value of transactions, it stood at 954.398 million FCFA against 1.196 billion FCFA the day before.

The BRVM Composite index recorded a slight increase of 0.01% to 274.38 points against 274.34 points the day before. As for the BRVM 30 index, it remained stable at 137.48 points

For its part, the BRVM Prestige index rose by 0.56% to 112.65 points against 112.02 points the day before.

The Top 5 of the largest price increases are occupied respectively by Palm Côte d'Ivoire (plus 3.56% to 4,655 FCFA), Benin National Lottery (plus 2.15% to 5,000 FCFA), BICI Côte d'Ivoire (plus 1.61% to 14,225 FCFA), BOA Mali (plus 1.57% to 1,940 FCFA), BOA Mali (plus 1.57% to 1,940 FCFA)) and Société Générale Côte d'Ivoire (plus 1.51% to 19,895 FCFA).

The Flop 5 of the largest price drops is occupied by CFAO Côte d'Ivoire (minus 5.00% at 570 FCFA), Sucrivoire Côte d'Ivoire (minus 3.23% to 720 FCFA), Compagnie Ivoirienne d'Électrice Côte d'Ivoire (minus 1.78% to 2,210 FCFA), SMB Côte d'Ivoire (minus 3.23% to 720 FCFA), SMB Côte d'Ivoire (minus 3.23% to 720 FCFA) 1.74% at 9,600 FCFA) and SAFCA Côte d'Ivoire (minus 1.37% at 720 FCFA)
