La Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) announced Saturday December 28, 2024 the entry into force of seven (7) new sector indices as of January 02, 2025.

BRVM-Telecommunications, BRVM-Financial Services, BRVM-Basic Consumption, BRVM-Energy, BRVM-Discretionary Consumption, BRVM-Discretionary Consumption, BRVM-Public Services and BRVM-Public Services and BRVM-Industrial are the seven (07) different sectoral indices that will come into force in a few days on the financial market. Indeed, the note published on Saturday announces that “the regional stock exchange (BRVM) brings to the attention of the public and market participants that in its dynamic of globalization and the strengthening of its international visibility, it has implemented a new sectoral classification of the market for more attractiveness. Also seven (7) new sectoral indices will come into force as of January 02, 2025.” According to the document, the existing sectoral indices will be maintained for a transitional period of one year
