La Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM) started the new year 2025 with a decrease in its market activities except for the value of transactions, after the performances achieved during of the trading session on Tuesday, December 31, 2024

L These three key indices of the total value of transactions recorded an increase, from 898.483 million FCFA the day before to 1,713 billion FCFA on Thursday, January 2, 2025. For its part, the market capitalization of shares fell by 33.261 billion, from 10 078.680 billion FCFA the day before to 10 045.419 billion FCFA on Tuesday, January 2, 2025. That of the bond market also fell by 24.931 billion, to 10,507.436 billion FCFA against 10,532.367 billion FCFA on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
The BRVM indices started the new year in decline. Thus, the BRVM Composite index fell by 0.33% to 275.11 points against 276.02 points the day before. For its part, the BRVM 30 index recorded a decrease of 0.39% to 138.20 points against 138.74 points the day before. For its part, the BRVM Prestige index recorded a drop of 0.51% to 114.25 points against 114.84 points the day before.

The Top 5 of the largest price increases are occupied respectively by Solibra Côte d'Ivoire shares (plus 7.49% at 13 920 FCFA), SMB Côte d'Ivoire (plus 7.15% at 9,220 FCFA), SETAO Côte d'Ivoire (plus 6.67% at 480 FCFA), Filtisac Côte d'Ivoire (plus 6.67% at 480 FCFA), Filtisac Côte d'Ivoire (plus 2.27% at 480 FCFA), and Vivo Energy Côte d'Ivoire (plus 2.27% at 900 FCFA)). While the Flop 5 of the largest declines in prices is occupied by Oragroup Togo shares (minus 3.91% to 1,845 FCFA), Sucrivoire Côte d'Ivoire (minus 3.23% to 750 FCFA), Africa Global Logistics Côte d'Ivoire (minus 2.99% to FCFA 750), Africa Global Logistics Côte d'Ivoire (minus 2.99% to 1,300 FCFA), Africa Global Logistics Côte d'Ivoire (minus 2.99% to 1,300 FCFA), Africa Global Logistics Côte d'Ivoire (minus 2.99% to 1,300 FCFA), Uniwax Côte d'Ivoire (minus 2.17% to 4 FCFA) 500 FCFA).

Par ailleurs, il est à noter que la BRVM a fini 2024 avec de fortes hausses de ses trois indices clés. En effet, le 31 décembre dernier, l' indice BRVM Composite thus increased by 1.40% to 276.02 points against 272.21 points the day before. Following the sharp increases in these indices on the eve of the new year, the capitalization of the equity market increased by 139.224 billion FCFA, to 10,078.680 billion FCFA against 9,939.456 billion FCFA on Monday, December 30, 2024. That of the bond market recorded an increase of 25.253 billion FCFA, from 10 507.114 billion FCFA the day before to 10 532.367 billion FCFA this Tuesday, December 31, 2024. The total value of transactions increased to 898.483 million FCFA against 768.627 million FCFA
