After an auction of assimilable treasury bills (BAT) with a duration of 113, 119 and 364 days, Côte d'Ivoire raised on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 on the WAEMU financial market the sum of 66 billion CFA francs.

The Ivorian government aims to finance its budget. Thus, the issuer had put 60 billion CFA francs up for auction. After the auction, it obtained 116.540 billion FCFA in global bids from investors. This gives a coverage rate of 194.23% for the amount put up for auction.

The amount of successful submissions was 66 billion FCFA and that rejected was 50.540 billion FCFA. This gives an absorption rate of 56.63%. The issuer has committed to redeem the securities issued on the first business day following the maturity date set at April 30, 2025 for those of 113 days, by May 6, 2025 for those of 119 days and by 6 January 2026 for those of 364 days
