Listed companies have been very active in recent years in launching applications for the election of minority representatives and the appointment of independent directors.

Indeed, if we take into account the current calls for applications, the rate of listed companies that have signed up for this process would be around 88%.

The total number of directors of listed companies is 695. The number of independent directors after the 2024 general meetings is 115;

Among the 74 listed companies, 15 did not appoint independent directors, i.e. 20% of listed companies. 5 of the 15 companies launched a call for applications for the appointment of at least one independent director.

Financial companies have the highest rate of feminization of boards (20%).

Indicatively, on average in European Union countries, women represented, in 2023, only a little more than a third of board members (33.8%).

The financial sector is distinguished by the best rates in terms of representation on their boards of independent members (20%), minority representatives (9%), and women (9%).

The number of foreign directors, as determined by the 2024 AGMs, is 69 out of a total of 695 directors, i.e. a rate of internationalization of boards of 10%. The financial sector has the highest number of foreign directors with 43 foreigners out of a total of 288 directors, a rate of 15%. As an indication, in France, the proportion of non-nationals in the composition of the turnover of CAC 40 companies was 31.1% in 2022
