A l' issue d' une émission simultanée de bons equivalent to 364-day treasury bonds (BAT) and equivalent bonds (OATs) with a maturity of 3, 5 and 7 years, Burkina Faso has raised on the UEMOA financial market a amount of 33 billion FCFA on Wednesday, January 15, 2025

Burkina aims to ensure the financing of its 2025 budget. The issuer had put 30 billion CFA francs up for auction. The overall bids from investors amounted to 43.364 billion CFA francs, after the auction, i.e. a coverage rate of the amount put up for auction of 144.55%. The amount of tenders accepted is 33 billion FCFA and that rejected 10.364 billion FCFA, i.e. an absorption rate of 76.10%

Investors whose submissions were selected will end up with a weighted average return of 9.27% for 364-day bonds, 9.48% for 3-year bonds, 9.48% for 3-year bonds, 7.53% for 3-year bonds, 7.53% for 5-year bonds and 7.34% for 7-year bonds. The vouchers issued will be refunded on the first working day following the due date set on January 14, 2026. As for the payment of interest, it will be made in advance and deducted from the nominal value of the vouchers
