La Bouna Gendarmerie Brigade seized on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 9 p.m., six trucks from Ghana, transporting prohibited contraband and counterfeit products. The seizure took place on the basis of information provided by elements of the National Committee against Counterfeiting (CNLC) who surveyed the area.

The trucks entered Bouna through the Ballon Park district. At the sight of the elements of the gendarmerie posted in these streets, the drivers and apprentices of the trucks fled, abandoning the vehicles and their cargoes. The seized trucks were placed under the surveillance of the gendarmerie and unloaded in the presence of judicial authorities, including the prosecutor's office, as well as representatives of the CNLC. The products are mostly tablets, phytosanitary products, plastic items, construction equipment, cigarette boxes and many others. They will be destroyed according to the procedures in force.
