Coris Banque is taking 48-year-old entrepreneur Djibril Guèye to justice for loan embezzlement and breach of trust.

The case dates back to 2020, when he took out a loan of 20 million CFA francs from Coris Banque. Indeed, according to him, the financing was to be used to execute a contract worth more than 80 million CFA francs concluded with the Crous de Thiès. However, the bank questions the very existence of this contract and the use that was made of the funds granted. At the helm, Djibril Guèye categorically refutes any accusations of fraud or falsification, specifying that if he was not able to repay his Borrowing is only because he was still waiting for the payment of the Crous de Thiès. Moreover, the bank's lawyer, Me Amadou Yéri Ba, accuses Djibril Guèye of having intentionally deceived the financial institution. According to him, the entrepreneur deliberately presented false documents to obtain a loan that he should never have received, thus embezzling the money for personal purposes
