As part of its total bond issue of 5 billion FCFA, issued in January 2025, the 2nd category microfinance institution Acep Cameroun (Credit Agency for Private Enterprises) successfully raised 1.9 billion FCFA (approximately $3 million).

The operation, which has also attracted asset managers from Cameroon, aims to finance the company's 2025-2027 strategic plan. The issue attracted several local co-investors, including two major Cameroonian asset managers, and was oversubscribed, a testament to the market's enthusiasm for this initiative. The ALCB Fund also supported the arranger USCA (Upline Securities Central Africa) in setting up this transaction. Hack-Yann Akindele, CEO of ACEP Cameroon, said he was delighted “to now count the ALCB Fund among our trusted partners. Thanks to this transaction, we succeeded in achieving our goals of diversifying our financing base and increasing the duration of our commitments. Thus, we will have the capacity to expand our loan portfolio and provide more financing to micro entrepreneurs in Cameroon.”
