Major Commissioner Éric Orou Yérima, spokesperson for the Republican Police, announced the arrest of the delegate of the financial controller in service at the Presidency of the Republic. The announcement was made during a press briefing held on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

The police spokesperson said that the delegate of the financial controller was arrested “upon denunciation of corrupt practices” in public procurement, of which the respondent “became a habit”. He was eventually caught up “for having developed and implemented a system of passive corruption and ransom of economic operators”. According to the information, prior to his arrest, the financial controller's delegate had abandoned his post about a week ago. The investigation is ongoing.
