The “New Technological Deal” aims to increase the digital contribution to 15% of GDP. It replaces the Digital Senegal Strategy (SN2025), which was launched in 2016. According to the President of the Republic, “the impact will also be concrete for the administration, which will modernize with interoperable services, improved performance, and a broadening of the tax base, thus making it possible to fight corruption and considerably reduce tax evasion.” At the launch, Head of State Faye returned to the advantages of the “New Technological Deal” with, among others, universal access to the Internet, high-quality, efficient and affordable connectivity, but also an incubation and financing program to support local startups and encourage technological innovation. According to him, it will eliminate intermediaries, reduce processing times, and fight against speculation and corruption, thanks to increased traceability and centralized and secure databases

This strategy, enshrined in the National Transformation Agenda “Senegal 2050", aims to make the country a leader in the digital economy in Africa.
