Le PIB du Nigéria a enregistré une croissance à hauteur de 95.4% in the fourth quarter of 2024, thanks to the non-oil sector .

A report by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) published on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, indicates that real gross domestic product (GDP) growth in Nigeria reached 3.84% in the fourth quarter of 2024 in the fourth quarter of 2024 year-on-year, up from the 3.46% observed in the same period in 2023. This increase is attributed to the non-oil sector, mainly driven by the services sector, which recorded a growth of 5.37%, thus contributing to 57.38% of global GDP. According to the report, “in real terms, the non-oil sector contributed 95.40% to the national GDP in the fourth quarter of 2024, which is higher than the share recorded in the fourth quarter of 2023, which was 95.30%, and higher than the rate of 94.43% recorded in the third quarter of

2024.”

Par ailleurs, le rapport indique que “The oil sector contributed 4.6% to total real GDP in the fourth quarter of 2024, down from the value recorded at p corresponding period of 2023 and the previous quarter where it contributed 4.7% and 5.57% respectively”. For their part, the agricultural and industrial sectors grew by 1.76% and 2% respectively in the fourth quarter of 2024, down compared to the same period in

2023.
