On February 15, the Hauts-Bassins Regional Directorate of Industry, Commerce and Crafts (DRICA-HBS) intercepted a truck at the exit of Bobo-Dioulasso. This was as part of its economic control and anti-fraud activities.

The documents and contents of the truck carrying raw cashew nuts have been verified. The information reveals that the exporting company did not have the necessary documents to proceed with the export. Thus, the control officers seized the raw cashew nut transported and a large fine was imposed on the company concerned in accordance with the texts

It should be noted that any export of raw cashew nuts requires a special export authorization. A specific approval for exporters of raw cashew nuts was established in 2025, and its issuance is in progress for actors in the sector
