L'Etat du Cameroun a entrepris de diversifier ses sources de financement depuis December 2010, by launching the very first bond in its history on the Douala Securities Exchange (DSX in English). The country has already mobilized 8646 billion CFA francs on the capital markets

The director of treasury at the Ministry of Finance indicated that over the past 15 years, the Cameroonian Public Treasury has been able to mobilize 1206.2 billion FCFA at the Central African Securities Exchange (Bvmac), the unified financial market of the CEMAC countries (Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea Equatorial Guinea, Equatorial Guinea, Chad and RCA) at the Central African Securities Exchange (Bvmac), which absorbed DSX in as part of a merger process. On the public securities market of the Bank of Central African States (BEAC), the issuing institution common to the six CEMAC countries, Cameroon has already mobilized just over 6204 billion CFA francs since the launch of the said market in 2011. Over the same period, an envelope of 1235.7 billion FCFA was raised on the international financial markets, through Eurobond issues and

private investments.
