NSIA Banque CI and Orabank CI will carry out a securitization transaction equivalent to $20.92 million, to obtain liquidity from investors and finance projects carried out by SMEs in the UEMOA zone.

The two banking institutions want to securitize claims totalling 12.65 billion FCFA ($20.92 million), including 5.4 billion FCFA contributed by NSIA Banque and 7.25 billion by Orabank CI. This securitization is part of the Keur Samba program, launched by BOAD Securitization in the month of March 2025. This is the first multi-ceding securitization transaction (involving several banks) by UEMOA at the service of SMEs. The operation consists for the two banking institutions in selling these claims in the form of financial securities to investors.

In exchange, banks will receive immediate liquidity, which will then be used to finance small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small and medium-sized industries (SMIs) in the UEMOA zone. NSIA Banque CI and Orabank CI are the first Ivorian financial institutions to participate in the initial phase of the program, which focuses exclusively on Côte d'Ivoire. This first phase will make it possible to refinance the debt portfolio of NSIA Banque and Orabank CI in order to optimize their capacity to respond to the growing financing needs of SMEs and

SMIs.
